Eerie silence filled the room
The floor was dingy and damp
Creepy darkness would soon loom
As I floundered in the swamp.
There appeared a face pale and white
I wanted to let out a shrill cry
I wanted to put up a hard bloody fight
But only a gasp escaped, hard I might try.
I woke up to irate rappings on the door,
It was 7 AM on a Monday morning
I had to return to mundane chore
As I heard my livid alarm ring!

There can be nothing graver and scarier than a Monday Morning!
Good one!
Haha, true. Hence the poem.
Delightful!
It's me that gets livid when the alarm goes off especially on Tuesdays for some odd reason. I don't like February either - to me it's like a whole month of Tuesdays!

Ha! Why do alarm clocks always sound so angry?
It's good to know she still had the urge to fight, if not the strength!
